About the Song:
Talaash is a deeply sentimental original love song by Sudeep Mukerji, expressing the restless call of a lonely heart searching for connection. Featuring soulful acoustic guitar by Anjan Mukerji, the song was originally recorded in 1997.
Built on a minimalist guitar-driven vision, Talaash remains a timeless piece from my original album concept—quiet, intimate, and emotionally honest.

About the Song:
“Nazare Hai Badle”
“Nazare Hai Badle” unfolds like a story of inner change. In the first half, the protagonist is lost in memories of a broken relationship — expressing regret, loneliness, and the emotional turmoil that follows when love fades but its echoes remain. The music here stays soft, reflective, and intimate, mirroring a mind trapped in the past.
As the song progresses, a gradual shift begins — both in thought and in sound. Around the final quarter, the emotional tone transforms. What starts as pain slowly turns into clarity and self-realization. The arrangement grows stronger, more energetic, and decisive, symbolizing a renewed sense of purpose.
By the end, the meaning of “Nazare Hai Badle” becomes clear — life itself may remain the same, but when perspective changes, everything feels new. It is a journey from heartbreak to inner strength, told not just through words, but through the evolving mood of the music itself.

About the Song:
Some songs are planned.
Some are crafted in studios.
And a few… simply arrive in a quiet, unexpected moment.
“Girta Hua Tara” belongs to the third kind.
This song was conceived in the year 2000, during my time in Mumbai. I was walking down a street with my friend Vinod when we suddenly ran into his friend — Vishal Dadlani. As the two of them got engaged in conversation, I moved aside and sat quietly in a corner.
In that still moment, my eyes fell upon a glowing Lucky Lotto Star (its kind of "wish upon a falling star") sign nearby. Something about it — the symbolism, the solitude, the silent longing it evoked — struck a deep emotional chord. Almost instantly, the melody, mood, and central thought of “Girta Hua Tara” began to form within me. It felt less like writing a song and more like witnessing one unfold on its own.
That fleeting moment of observation transformed into a deeply personal musical expression. Over the years, it has remained very close to my heart — not just as a creation, but as a memory of how inspiration can arrive when one is simply sitting quietly, watching the world go by.
A falling star often symbolizes a wish, "don't let it go" .. kind of expression) or a passing dream. This song captures that delicate emotion — the beauty, the ache, and the quiet poetry of something slipping away.
And from that one silent moment on a Mumbai street… “Girta Hua Tara” was born.

About the Song:
Here is another of my very first original creations — “Jadoo Hai Ya Nasha.”
This song dates back to around 1996 and holds a very special place in my musical journey. It was written gradually over nearly six months. One of its most memorable moments of creation happened when the co-lyricist, Muninder Singh Tomar, sat on the stairs beside a small marketplace and enthusiastically wrote a major portion of the lyrics in perhaps less than an hour.
I kept playing the song repeatedly on guitar until it finally took shape as my very first MIDI-created composition — possibly the first original song I ever fully produced.
This song is not just music — it is a memory of beginnings, passion, and the raw excitement of discovering one’s own creative voice.
